Review Rating : 5/5
"Whilst looking to book a last minute holiday to Rhodes we came across Villa Gemma in Gennadi. We had been looking at various hotels and locations but when we saw Villa Gemma we decided that looked like the ideal place for us to spend our holiday. We were lucky enough to secure our holiday on the back of a cancellation so the Villa was available at short notice (next time we would definitely book in advance to ensure availability). The interior of the Villa is exceptionally clean, well furnished and well maintained - you will not be disappointed. The exterior of the Villa is stunning - the pool was amazing and the patio areas and the olive trees in the developing garden are wonderful. The Villa does have a coastal road running close by but this shouldn't put you off - it's not too busy and wasn't too noisy - I was concerned about this as I'm a light sleeper but I had no trouble sleeping. Chris, the owner of Villa Gemma, gave us a warm welcome and was on hand if we needed her - she is very helpful, hospitable and friendly. Gennadi itself is a wonderful little Greek village with a small number of tavernas and bars - enough to provide variety but not too many to spoil the village. Mamas Pizza serves Pizzas from heaven and Antonis Fish Restaurant at the beach is worth more than one visit (have the daily fish dish and definitely have the stuffed squid with cheese). You don't need a car - especially if you are looking to switch off and unwind - the Villa has everything you need and Gennadi provides enough variety for eating out and drinks for you not to get bored. We did hire a car and visited the majority of the island but the places to definitely see are: Lindos (approx. 16k), Rhodes Town (in particular Old Rhodes), Prasonisi (especially if you like surfing or kite surfing).
I would recommend Villa Gemma to a wide group of people - couples for a romantic get away; a family holiday whether with small children or teenagers; mature couples/friends.
We will definitely stay at Villa Gemma when we visit Rhodes again!!"

Fiona Whitehouse: 8 of us stayed at Villa Gemma for a week in July and we couldn't fault our holiday. The villa was in superb condition and Chris was a fantastic host - breakfast was in the fridge on the night of our arrival, and the week was full of thoughtful little things like that that really make the holiday special. The pool was gorgeous, the beach was close by and the little village within walking distance had great shops including a brilliant little bakery. I would absolutely recommend a holiday here, it'll be a great time.

Dave Noorlander: Still enjoying all the good memories. Rhodes and especially villa Gemma (including your hospitality) were tremendous!
In name of the whole group,
Thanks Chris

Beautiful Villa, peaceful relaxing location.
If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday then Gennadi is the perfect location, and if you are looking for a perfect villa, then I can highly recommend "Villa Gemma". The villa is fully equipped with everything you will need and furnished to a very high standard. The pool was excellent and well maintained, and set in a lovely garden with olive trees for shade. There is large terrace complete with grill for outside dining, which we made good use of throughout our stay. If you want to dine out Gennadi village is only a few minutes stroll away where you will find a selection of bars and restaurants. The village is very traditional, laid back and friendly. Check out "Effie's Dreams", a cafe/bar frequented by tourists and local people and is situated at the top end of the village. For fish dishes there is a very nice restaurant right on the beach, no more than a ten minute stroll away. The sand and shingle beach is big enough for you to find your own space. There is a regular bus service to Lindos and Rhodes town. The villa owner, Christine, made us very welcome and lives nearby if you need anything at all. We had a wonderful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone and are certainly considering returning at some in the future
