Travel just 15km south along the coast road from Lindos and you will arrive in the stunning village of Gennadi.
Gennadi boasts a vast beach of sand and small pebbles stretching as far as the eye can see, where there is always room for you to spread your beach towel and enjoy the sun and surf. Only parts of this vast beach are commercially organised with mouth watering tavernas offering freshly caught fish and tempting you with a cool beer or chilled glass of wine whilst you unwind at sunset.
On the beach there are water sports such as canoeing and jet ski for the more adventurous or for those who prefer to watch there are sun beds and umbrellas to shade you from the glorious sunshine.
Gennadi Beach has a long coastline renowned for having the cleanest water in the Mediterranean. This is a truly magnificent and peaceful haven with waterfront tavernas providing the setting for both leisurely lunches and starlit dinners.
The beach is separated from the village by no more than 400 metres.
Gennadi Village is centred around the square where frequent buses will transport you North to the Cosmopolitan City of Rhodes and the wonderfully atmospheric Old Town. And south to the windsurfing Paradise of Prassonisi on the southern most tip of the island.
Gennadi has an attractive approach with traditional homes, restaurants and bars and as a working village, not a seasonal commercial area, the village also has a medical centre with helpful English-speaking staff, a supermarket, a bakery offering freshly baked bread and pastries, a green grocers with exotic fruits and vegetables, a pharmacy and so much more....
